1v1 Tier List
<aside>
<img src="/icons/exclamation-mark_blue.svg" alt="/icons/exclamation-mark_blue.svg" width="40px" /> The 1v1 Tier List features all (active) players of the FAF Dojo being interested in competing against each other in 1v1.
If you want to get a rough idea how our ranking translates to the FAF ELO System, feel free to search for any FAF name mentioned below within the FAF leaderboards.

The updating cycle of this tier list is dependent on the actual activity of our members. Dan-players will be reassessed like every two to three months. For the Belt-players, we try to keep up with the challenges being played. If you find yourself in the situation that your result hasn’t been incorporated within two weeks, feel free to kindly ask one of our trainers to take a look at the provided replays.

Rules
- Challenges have to be “ranked” games. We need to be able to tell who has won at first glance.
- The challenged player must be of higher rank than the challenger, and, in theory, could be several ranks higher than themselves.
- If one wins against one player of higher rank, they are going to be promoted (gaining one rank).
- Challenge format:
- 1v1.
- Best-of-three (BO3): First who wins two maps, wins the match.
- Maps:
- Challenger and challenged player must agree on three maps in advance.
- "Astro Crater", Dual Gap” and all their variations are the only forbidden maps.
- Generated maps are a viable option.
- The ceiling for map size is 20x20.
- Maps can only be picked once for a BO3.
- One is supposed to challenge their aspired opponent via 1v1: Challenge Now.
- An acceptable time frame to provide a player their challenge is one month, or a fixed date by both side's agreement.
- There is no such thing as “default win” due to no-show, one actually must play to pocket a win.
- Denying a player their challenge will decrease one's rank by one belt.
- If one has consecutively lost to three players of lower rank, they are going to be demoted.
- The only other, if unlikely, way to fall to a lower rank, is to somehow continually play worse than before.
- The challenger is supposed to provide results and replay links via 1v1: Result Submission as a proof the game has been played.
- By default, both players agree on their challenge potentially being subject to a live-stream, and / or being featured in a video on demand (VOD) uploaded to one of the common platforms such as Twitch or YouTube.
